Week 4

Monday was a bit of a challenge to post anything. Went to the trainer and came home to find that water was pouring from the ceiling of the master bathroom. Suffice it to say, no way I was gonna take pix in my undies with a buncha cleanup guys here. So I decided I wanted to get a glimpse of myself just after I worked out. So tonite I worked out and came home and shot the pix. Still a bit disappointed that after about a month I don't see much in the way of improvement. Although I have to say that with my shoulder surgery Brad was definitely going easier on me earlier than he is now. I think I'm getting stronger but I haven't weighed or measured myself since the start. I dunno, below are the pix then I posted a few as comparison shots ... and yes I know, the marble bag undies ... ha ha ha ...

Week 3

Okay, so I've kinda NOT been posting very well on here. Yesterday (Thursday) was an awful diet day, Go Lean Crunch for breakfast, Cheese ravioli and peanut butter on crackers for lunch, whole wheat pasta, canned tomato sauce and chicken & cheese sausages for dinner and a couple of beers with .. oh wait, my trainer, Brad! It was bud LITE lime. So I got lo cal AND a serving of fruit, right?! ... anyway, here's this weeks pix. maybe seeing a little upperbody development but gotta get rid of that "back fat" ... training again today will post again next week sometime. Gotta focus more on diet!

Boy interrupted!

Okay, as promised I did actually take pix back last Monday but we got a little preoccupied around here with a new kitten we got on Sunday! Also I blame that little critter for keeping me from my appointed Cardio over the last week as well. As I look at the pix I am definitely seeing some changes in the abs and leg area, a bit thicker if you ask me. Not so much in the chest and shoulders and perhaps some firming up of the ass (sorry for the jockstrap pix, it was what I had on and, well ... deal with it).

Day 5

Wierd thing. I have been complimented on my appearance a couple of time in the last several days. And, you know what? I do look a little different. Not anything I think you'd pick up on a picture but I'm definitely a bit better in the "toned up" department. It's Labor Day weekend and we have a big festival going on right across the street and I have all access passes to everything. So it's essentially a license to drink! Pretty sure that's not part of my trainer's diet plan but I'm gonna have fun (like I did last nite, OY!). And yes, I am a bit sore from the workout. Nothing too intense but definitely feel it. I am SO excited about this endeavour! Looking forward to taking my pic on Monday.

Day 4

Yeah, so I didn't post yesterday. Sorry bout that. I went out to dinner with my son and didn't even workout at all! But today I saw Brad and definitely worked out. So one of my exercises during my hour session ... he has this modified squat machine and he had me squat a couple of times then on the third rep I had to hold it for 5 seconds. He had me do this for 15 reps then repeated the set 3 times. He's actually great about encouraging me. I feel like he really enjoys my company and certainly enjoys his work which is refreshing. It's pretty cool having a guy who's watching over you right there with you through the whole set and lets you take breaks as needed. And he's SO supportive. Today he promised me a 6 pack (abs, not the booze kind, damn) and said "This is gonna be fun training you." So I'm off to bed. I'll post more pix on Monday before my next training session. Got a little wild today with the music (Avenged Sevenfold and Dragonforce) I think I'll have to tone it down for next time as there is another trainer that works there and I think he's gonna be there with a client. Anyway, have a great Labor Day weekend!
