Week 12

No posts last week, a little busy with the personal life. Close on my new place in 11 day, so stoked. I feel like I'm making more progress with my fitness goals. Had a great all around workout today back and legs. Didn't wimp out on anything. Did a new 4 step cardio routine over the weekend that killed my legs (still sore today) but I'm very happy about that. Knee is okay but still bugging me a bit. Hopefully it's on its way to healing up. Here's the pix:

Week 10

So far this week has been pretty amazing! Broke up with my bf of 9+ years on Oct 30th nearly exactly 5 years from the day we got back together from our last breakup (Oct 31, 2007). Since then I have found and had an offer accepted on a house, am packing up my things, met someone to at least start hanging out with and overall feel great about myself! I have to focus on my efforts now being a single guy back on the market, so to speak and I had a fairly good workout with Brad this Monday! Here are the pix:

Week 7

Watching Weather Channel about Hurricane Sandy. Pretty impressive stuff. Had to round last Monday and then had a decent workout on Friday. That was followed by a halloween party weekend and a recovery on Sunday. Had a really good workout today with Brad: back, bicep, legs. Looking forward to an Ab+ workout on Friday! Week 5

Actually managed to get 2 days of cardio in over the weekend with SUPER sore quads from last Friday's workout. However, I did spend most of the weekend evenings with cocktails in my hand. So I had to burn them off somehow, right?! Busy two weeks ahead but hopefully November will provide a bit of a respite. Here's the pix:

Year 2 Week 2

Sorry to say I had a pretty crappy workout today. Brad had a great hour lined up for me but I just didn't have the energy to get through it as effectively as I would have hoped. I have to eat a bit before I go. All I had today was a protein shake. I need to have some carbs to get through it. Also didn't exactly stick to the diet over the weekend. Had a few cocktails with Brad after the workout on Friday and then had stuffed manicotti (hello cheese!) for dinner last nite. Overall though I seem to be doing okay. Had an hour of hiking over the weekend and did a little skateboarding as well. So here are the pix:

Year 2 Week 1 Day 1!

Brad and I have been at it for about a year now and I just signed on for Year #2. Was damn tired on Friday and still a bit tired today. I appreciate the pushing that Brad is doing though. So I am going to redouble my efforts this year. I anticipate some big changes this year so along with my increased physical efforts I am going to begin a reprioritization of the rest of things in my life as well. I want to continue to focus on a better body overall, but I also want to really focus on those damn ABS! Anyway here's the pix:
