Week 46

Just got back from So Cal. Got in 1 "kinda" workout while out there (34 mile casual bike ride from Redondo to Venice and back). Got back at 3 this morning and made it to my 1030 workout. Not the best workout I've ever had but after a week of breakfasts at Uncle Bill's it was a requirement. Knee feels great. Hopefully will get the all clear next Monday from my Ortho. So here are the pix:

Week 44


Apparently there was a bit of a miscommunication between Brad and me last week because when I showed up today I was informed that my spot had been given away! :-( So today I was left working out with my new trainer Isaac. He took numerous breaks though and I won't be using HIM again (apparently he just wasn't FELINE it today ... lol). So here's my workout and the pix below. 
lat raises 15# X 20 x 1 warmup set then 25# x 20 x 3 sets
lying str8 leg raises 25 x 3 sets
4 pump + 1 incline press 25# x 3 sets
bent over row + 1 overhead  press 25# x 3 sets
flat bench flyes 25# x 3 sets

Gotta start dieting better. Need to be shredded for Market Days!

Week 43

The pix below reveal a new addition to my wardrobe these days, a knee brace. While over at the Elliott's house I slipped on a throw rug and screwed up my knee. After a quick trip to the ER the following morning it was determined that the injury was primarily due to soft tissue damage. I went in for my training session with Brad anyway and due to my lack of sleep from having the brace on at night, I'll have to admit it was not my best effort. But I DID get my ass into the gym and DID get a workout in. I don't think I'll be doing much cardio in the coming weeks. So I'll really have to watch the diet ... bummer, I LOVE to eat ... oh well, here's the pix

Week 42.5

After the 4th of July party at Marko's girlfriends and completely being off my diet I actually feel better. BUT with the 100+ degree heat there has been virtually NO working out this week until today. Brad's studio now has a defunct A/C unit (oy! such a problem!) but I managed to get in a good upper body workout anyway. I was going to wear my new black "shorts" (pictured below) but didn't, so I thought I'd publish the pix of me in them on the web where ANYBODY can see them ...

Week 42

10 weeks until I hit the 1 year anniversary with Brad and I feel like I am working harder than ever professionally. So the gains I am making (and the seriously maddening extra efforts I am making to workout) are particularly satisfying. Over the weekend I was walking by "Drag Queen Bingo" where the drag queen sits in a storefront window and calls out numbers for her audience on the retail floor, and I was called in and verbally "encouraged" to take off my shirt for the "adoring fans." I accommodated and wasn't laughed off the stage. So I guess things are improving (yes, Brad, I admit it). I was going to post some before and after pix showing Week 1 but I think I am going to hold off on that until my 1 year anniversary. The question at that point is: Should I let Brad show off the pix? Personally I think ever single person should do the before and after thing. It is the only objective way to  demonstrate your progress in this venue. Anyway, here are this weeks pix:
